The Probability Of The Sustainability Of New Knowledge

As we all have experienced, there is a lot to learn. But, is it possible that we will eventually run out of things to truly "learn"? For example, a few years ago, one of the most famous quandaries of the scientific community, the Higgs Boson, was discovered. Even now, multiple labs in several colleges across the world work tirelessly to provide the next big breakthrough in quantum computing. But as our understanding of how the universe works expands, is our understanding fundamentally limited? Will we reach a point in our understanding at which we simply say "this is okay, we can stop now"? There could be a possibility of underemployment due to the decreasing interest in actual research, only reading about the newest breakthroughs on a certain science oriented blog. Only time will tell.
